Meat

Meat is a food item in sons of the forest obtained from Animals.

Raw meat can be eaten to restore small amounts of hunger. When cooked, this number significantly increases. Meat will spoil after a few in-game days. If spoiled meat is eaten, extremely little stats will be restored to the player's hunger. To avoid meat spoiling, the player can construct drying racks and hang the meat.

Meat is best obtained from Moose, which drop 7 meat. Deer drop 3 meat, Large turtles 2, and Birds, Rabbits, and other small animals 1.

Spoiled meat can still be dropped on the ground to bait seagulls for farming meat or feathers
