The Knight V is a rideable EUC (electric unicycle) added with Patch 03 of Sons of the Forest.

Description[]

The Knight V is an off-road EUC bike powered by Batteries. Upon picking up the item, players can mount it by using the primary use key (LMB by default) and simply drive it using the directional keys and jump using the jump key. The Knight V can be dismounted by pressing on the jump key twice, upon which it will be dropped.

If the player hits low obstacles such as rocks or ledges at a certain speed, they will be thrown off the Knight V. Falling off the EUC does not inflict damage to the player even if thrown off a cliff. The Knight V will also be automatically dismounted if driven into deep enough water. This is not recommended as it cannot be picked up while swimming, making retrieval very difficult. While on the knight V, players are effectively immune to fall damages, making it an excellent way to quickly descend tall cliffs and high ledges.

The Knight V will destroy obstacles such as tree saplings, bushes, flowers and Cannibal tents on its path. It however cannot be used to hurt or run over animals and NPCs. Its speed or maneuverability is not affected by shallow waters or snow.

Every item in the game can be picked up, carried and used while mounted on the Knight V, including weapons, tools, and even bulky items such as Logs. Ziplines can also be used while mounted on the Knight V, although it will be invisible while sliding along the line. The Printed Sled and the Hang Glider can also be carried while using the Knight V, however they cannot be used.

KnightV FirstPerson

First person perspective of the Knight V

The Knight V is currently the fastest land mode of transportation of the game, allowing players to quickly travel around the map. While fast, the Knight V can be difficult to maneuver, especially at full speed, making avoiding obstacles such as trees very difficult. Additionally, steep inclines can be problematic as the Knight V will significantly struggle the steeper the incline is. Therefore, this vehicle is better suited for trails or large clear areas rather than travelling through the woods.

The Knight V features a GPS icon. However, it seems to be very inconsistent, as it will disappear when the player walks far away enough from the Knight V but it will not reappear until it is found and picked up again or if the save is reloaded. The Knight V can be respawned at its original location by saving and loading, allowing players to have multiple Knight Vs or replace a lost one. There can be a maximum of 20 Knight Vs at once in the world.

Bugs/Glitches[]

  • Some saved games might have all undiscovered Knight Vs marked on the GPS.

Locations[]

  • The Knight V can be found in several locations, mostly on the western side of the map. It is usually found in abandoned camps or Cannibal villages.
