Blackberries are harvestable plant that the player can consume for a small amount of fullness and hydration. Blackberries are small redish purple berries that grow on large berry bushes with small leaves.

Blackberries are most commonly found in clusters around the northern and eastern parts of the island, often near water. When gathered, the player has a small chance to collect Blackberry seeds, which in turn be planted for even more berries. Furthermore, the player may be gifted Blackberries by Virginia if their affinity level is high enough.
Tips for finding Blackberries[]
- Searching on the nortern and eastern side of the island increases the likelyhood of finding Blackberries as that is where it most commonly spawns.
- Due to the discrete appearance of the Blackberries, it may be easier to spot by looking for the pick-up icon rather than the actual bush.
- Like other berry bushes, the Blackberry bush grows small white flowers during Spring, which the player can keep an lookout for when searching for Blackberries.
- Like other berries, Blackberries often spawn in clusters. When finding one Blackberry bush, search the area for additional ones.
- Walking rather than running may increase the chance to spot a bush.
- Befriending and leveling up the affinity level with Virginia makes it possible for her to approach the player slowly, and drop Blackberries as a gift.
- A Standing Planter or Wall Planter may be used to grow Blackberries, once seeds have been acquired.
