Batteries are an item used both in crafting and to power several items in Sons of the Forest.
Gameplay[ | ]
Batteries are used in the crafting or more advanced items such as Time Bombs and the Tech Armor, but they are also the only source of power for electrical items such as the Flashlight and the Electric Chainsaw, making them a highly valuable item. Batteries or items using them cannot currently be recharged.
Electrical items can be recharged by putting them onto the crafting mat along with one battery. However, should they run out of power mid-use, their batteries will also be automatically replaced. Items crafted using batteries do not require their batteries to be replaced.
Due to also being relatively rare and having a low inventory capacity, stocking batteries on shelves and limiting the use of electric-powered items might be a good idea.

Batteries can be found all over the island in storage containers as random loot, in skin pouches dropped by enemies, and in a few set locations in underground bunkers.
