Armor is a craftable and equipable item found in Sons of the Forest. Both the player and cannibals can wear armor.
There are 10 body slots that can be filled with armor pieces: Upper Arm Left, Lower Arm Left, Upper Arm Right, Lower Arm Right, Upper Leg Left, Lower Leg Left, Upper Leg Right, Lower Leg Right, Torso, and Head.
Each body slot can wear a different type of armor, and equipping a better piece of armor replaces a lower quality one. Therefore, it would behoove the player to equip any and all armor they find.
The highest quality armor in the game currently is the Solafite Armor (also known as Golden Bone Armor) which requires a full set of bone armor, 12 solafite ores, and a Solafite Upgrader.
The Ancient Armor (also known as Golden Armor) is armor in name only and does not function in the same way as other armor types. It is an outfit item that replaces all armor slots on the player and provides a damage reducing buff instead of a damage preventing one.
